Change the Names of your Desktop Icons

Some of the names on your Desktop Icons are big and bulky, taking up 2 or 3 lines. Some are names that have no relevant meaning for you.  Changing  “Microsoft Outlook Express”  to “Email” might give you a better understanding of what program the icon will open.

This is one change that is both easy and safe.

How to do it.

bulletGo to your desktop
bulletRight Click on the icon you want to rename
bulletSelect rename
bulletType in the new name
bulletClick on an empty spot on the Desktop

Enjoy your new ICON
